Greensboro College / Rockingham Community College Partnership

On September 26, 2005 President Craven E. Williams, President of Greensboro College, and Robert C. Keys, President of Rockingham Community College, signed the formal agreement forming a partnership to enable residents of Rockingham County who earn an associate degree from Rockingham Community College (RCC) to take Greensboro College (GC) courses at RC and complete a GC baccalaureate degree.

Fifteen RCC candidates began taking courses during the Spring 2006 semester. Of those six were degree-seeking candidates and nine were licensure-only candidates. During Fall 2006, twenty-six candidates were enrolled. Thirty-two were enrolled during Spring 2007. Four candidates will complete their student teaching program during Fall 2007. The program continues to be strong.
